    1. From your keyboard press Windows+R keys to open the Run window.
    2. Input C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 (or v6) and then click on Enter.
  4. Right-click the ecml file and choose Delete option.
  5. Choose Yes tab to confirm you want to delete the file.
  6. Open your company file and follow the instructions to register the application.

Important: If you have QuickBooks Point of Sale installed then you will also have to re-register the program as it uses the same EntitlementDataStore.ecml file as QuickBooks Desktop.
